ImageThree of the most talented players to every play in Starcraft 2 will be heading to DreamHack Winter to compete with the best for a piece of the $60,000 prize pool.

DreamHack Winter is shaping up to become an event to remember, with some of the best players in the world flying over to Jönköping, Sweden to participate in the final DreamHack event of this year. The quality of talent will be incredible, and will surely be a joy to see for the Starcraft 2 community. DreamHack Winter is also making strides in terms of venue, with its recent renting of the Kinnarps Arena, which has seating for over 7,000 and restaurants plus bars to keep patrons both filled and happy during the endless amount of games that are to be played.

With DreamHack Winter also giving away $60,000 in prize money, three notorious players in the Starcraft 2 eSport's scene have been invited to take a shot for the $29,000 first place prize.

Millenium's FR Ilyes 'Stephano' Satouri has been incredibly involved in international Starcraft 2, and has been performing extremely well in many tournaments. He's gone on to win the IGN Pro League season 3, and several weeks later took first place at ESWC 2011. Stephano is surely on an incredible run, and arguably might be one of the favorites to take it all at DreamHack Winter. His careful ability to be attentive all over the map has been hailed as being some of the best game sense to ever be used in SC2, and his incredible macro has elevated him to be one of the best Zerg players not only in Europe, but all over the world. However, he's also been known to have a significant lead in games, but lose it to misjudged timings, and unnecessary pushes. This might be his downfall and could be one of several reasons he might lose out early to very methodical and patient players such as SE Marcus 'ThorZaIN' Eklöf.

Evil Geniuses' KR Ho Joon 'PuMa' Lee on the other hand has found much success in the past, and still is one of the best Terrans in Starcraft 2, however, in recent tournament showings he hasn't performed to the best of his capabilities. In his recent runs in MLG he placed a respectable 5th place at MLG Raleigh, however at MLG Orlando he would be cut short and would lose out in the second round of the championship bracket ending his MLG Orlando run. Also in his recent attempt at qualifying for the GSL Code A, he would lose in the first round 2-0 to an unknown opponent. However, his skills are not of an amateur, his ability to hit timings that can cripple his opponent is one of his strengths, and his use of all-ins in competitive play have been hailed as using some of the best micro that the Terran race can offer to a competitive player. Despite PuMa's shortcomings in recent tournaments, he might deliver at DreamHack, and with still almost a month left till DreamHack Winter and the recent announcement of EG's partnership with team SlayerS PuMa's skill might soon be able to rival those of GSL Champions and even beyond.

Finally we turn to TSL's KR Kyu Jong 'Clide' Han, hailed as the "best player ever" by Artosis, Clide has always shown strong consistent results in the GSL Code S, and is one of the only players in the Global Starcraft 2 League currently, that has never fallen out of Code S and into Code A, which is surely an achievement in itself. DreamHack Winter will be Clide's first international event, and will be his first play outside of Korea. Clide's strength comes to his strong mechanics, much like ThorZaiN, in where he's able to play brilliantly with almost no mistakes to his builds. However, he's much more open in his play, and likes to be aggressive at certain times. No one truly knows if Clide will shine during his first international tournament, but in the recent GSL October he was able to reach the round of 8 before losing to eventual GSL champion KR Seong Won 'MMA' Mun in a close 2-3 series. There is truly no question that Clide is a champion in his own right for his skill and brilliant play, but the question is whether he can perform enough to where he breaks his shell of just placing well each tournament and instead head into a championship winning consistency, much like many of the previous GSL champions.
