ImageSK Candy Panda picks up the MVP award while Fnatic secure the $12,000 first prize.

Both EU SK Gaming and EU fnatic went into the final having stormed past all the previous teams they had faced. Both teams had currently won 5 games out of 5 so the final promised to be a true spectacle.

In a reversal of fortunes from previous IEM events of the season we saw an all European final. Previously the IEM titles had been won by teams from North America and Asia.

EU SK Gaming had finished 3rd at IEM Guangzhou so had hoped to take the title home this time out but unfortunately it wasn't to be.

fnatic proved their strength in the final with a 2-0 victory over SK to finish the tournament unbeaten. SK will have been a little disappointed with the result especially as ES Enrique Javier 'xPeke' Cedeño Martinez admitted in the post-match interview that his team had lost all recent fixtures against SK before the tournament.

None-the-less it was to be Fnatic who would win the IEM NY title and $12,000.

IEM NY Standings

1st EU fnatic - $12,000
2nd EU SK Gaming - $6,000
3rd FR Team Sypher - $3,400
