Today, Valve has released an update to Dota 2, which features two highly-popular heroes from the DotA scene; Kunkka and Bloodseeker. In the original DotA, Kunkka is a strength hero, who is a caricature of a pirate that has abilities that compliment him as such. Kunkka's name is an homage to Kenrick Lim, the artist of DotA's loading screens. On the other hand, there is Bloodseeker- an agility hero who, as his name implies, has combat based around his thirst for blood. Since the announcement of Dota 2, Bloodseeker was noted for being one of the most drastic re-designs of the four heroes visible for a time.

Along with the heroes, comes the whole package of the AI experience. Players may adjust the skill levels of the bot-filled slots, as well as give explicit commands for coordinating attacks. This gives an advantage for supporting weaker lanes that the bots would otherwise be oblivious to, as well as coordinating raids on Roshan. Not all the heroes have been given bot support, so the field will remain limited, but gradually expand with future content patches.

The bot support was disabled shortly after the conclusion of the International, due to the growing mass of beta testers and Valve's support for the system.
