WorldElite become the first Asian team to win an international League of Legends event by defeating CounterLogic Gaming.In the Grand Final of the IEM Global Challenge Guangzhou we saw 
World Elite in their first major international tournament against IEM Global Challenge winners
Counter Logic Gaming .
WorldElite had a fantastic tournament winning their group 3-0 which included their first match against CLG. Information regarding the Asian scene was limited before the tournament so many people still had CLG down as the favourites to win.
All started well for the North American team as they won the first match of the final but as this tournament had shown before this often means very little.
WorldElite then went on to win the next 2 matches to show the world that the Asian players are just as skilled as their counterparts.
WorldElite secured themselves the $12,000 prize as well as a spot in the IEM World Championships.
