EG wins ESEA-i S9, claims 7th title
EG have won ESEA-i S9 after defeating Full Gaming NA two maps to none in the final. They have claimed their 7th ESEA title, with five in a row.
Evil Geniuses won the ESEA-invite Season 9 playoffs by defeating
Full Gaming NA two maps to none in the grand final. They claim the first prize of $10,000 and the organisation's seventh overall ESEA title, their fifth in a row.
EG's run through the tournament did not go unchallenged as Full Gaming tested them in both of their meetings. In the upper bracket semi-final Full Gaming took the first map, mirage, 16:8 and then lost the third, inferno, in overtime. In the final the second map went into double overtime before EG claimed the title.
