Benjamin 'paN' von Mulert has returned to Team ALTERNATE , replacing the outgoing Julian 'hool' Walter, who apparently doesn't have time to continue playing for the team. paN has been inactive since July of 2010, when he finished his time in n!faculty after one EPS season.

paN was a member of ID Gaming and SK Gaming before getting his big break in ALTERNATE at the beginning of 2007. In ALTERNATE, better known as aTTaX at the time, little was expected of the team since stars such as Kapio and Tixo had exited the team to play for mouz, but the team repeatedly managed to secure significant placings, sometimes even above mouz.

ALTERNATE defeated Mousesports for the first two EPS titles of the year, X and XI. They also placed 3rd at NGL ONE S3, 4th at SEC 2008, 3rd at IEM II and 2nd at the IEM III European finals. The latter event even saw the German underdogs losing in the final in overtime, after a monster comeback on train and against the best of the previous year, mTw.

paN, Kapio, Roman R. and approx have all been ALTERNATE members in the past, though Kapio was not a member at the same time as the others. paN left ALTERNATe in the beginning of 2010, as his team swapped him for b4d.
