PL Frag eXecutors made an early exit from the qualifier after being knocked out the first round by RU Moscow Five which was a surprise for many. The Poles took the first map, de_nuke, with a shaky score of 16:13 before conceding both de_train and de_dust2 with scores of 9:16 and 12:16 which eliminated them from the tournament.

SE Lions swe were also eliminated in the first round after suffering a 2:1 defeat against SE SK-Gaming, however their performance should be praised. Furthemore, the Lions also gave SK a run for their money on the final map, de_dust2, but SK managed to win by the skin of their teeth to move onto the semi-finals.

SK-Gaming, mTw and Moscow Five will meet with an Asian and a Brazilian team as well as US Temporary , US backfire and US at the Global Challenge New York from October 13-16 to fight for a $40,000 prize purse.
