The brackets for Sunday's IEM VI Global Challenge New York European final qualifier have been drawn and they see SK Gaming drawn against Lions swe, the team who defeated them in the first European qualifier after three maps. Should the favourites in each match win SK would face mTw in the semi-finals.

The tournament is single elimination and best of three maps. The first games begin at 13:00 and there will be action broadcast on ESL TV with commentary by Joe Miller. The top three teams will qualify for the American event, which will be held from October 13th-16th.



Interestingly the case could be made that these first round matches make the likelihood of upset wins as high as they could possibly be. Lions defeated SK Gaming, in a typically volatile domestic matchup in the first qualifier. mTw have famously had numerous close matches, and losses, against the second best Danish team over the years.

FX were somewhat famously thrashed 0:16 on tuscan against M5 in ICSC8. mouz and WinFakt have both been battling for the same kind of ranking in the overall scheme of things, with both actually placing 5th-6th at e-Stars, but mouz have thusfar come out on top both in their IEM Guangzhou qualifier against the Finns and also in the upper bracket first round of e-Stars.
