WinFakt will replace Temporary at the IEM VI Global Challenge Guangzhou in October due to the latter being unable to find the funds to attend and no other American team being able to either.

ESL have announced that

WinFakt Fi will replace

Temporary at the IEM VI Global Challenge Guangzhou from October 1st to 5th, with $40,000 in prize money to be won. The American team were unable to raise the funds to attend the event and after other North American teams also proved incapable of attending WinFakt were invited, due to being next in line from the European qualifier.

WinFakt seemed to be struggling to establish themselves as a top team after falling short at ICSC8 and in the Guangzhou qualifier. Things seemed to be heading the same way at e-Stars Seoul as they lost 13:16 to

mouz on inferno, after being up 13:8. Nevertheless the team proved capable of exceeding expectations in the lower bracket as they beat

fnatic on mirage to finish 5th-6th overall.
