Chinese Terran CN Yi 'Loner' Dai won the China 1st 3D Electronic Games over the weekend and took down $7,500 in prize money for doing so. The man once considered China's best SC2 player came into the event as a replacement for WarCraft III legend and two time WCG gold medalist CN Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li.

The event was structured so that one half of the bracket was Korean players and the other Chinese. Loner triumphed over another WC3 legend, in this case KR Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang, to win the title. KR Yoon-Yeol 'NaDa' Lee and KR Min Chul 'MC' Jang were also in attendance with both losing to Moon, in the quarter and semi-finals respectively.

China 1st 3D Electronic Games final standings:

1st CN Yi 'Loner' Dai - $7,500
2nd KR Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang - $4,700
3rd-4th KR Yoon-Yeol 'NaDa' Lee - $2,800
3rd-4th CN Xuwen 'Infi' Wang - $2,800
5th-8th CN Weiliang 'Fly' Lu - $470
5th-8th KR Min Chul 'MC' Jang - $470
5th-8th CN Xiang 'TH000' Huang - $470
5th-8th KR June 'Lyn' Park - $470

Loner made it to the Ro16 of the second season of GSL, where he lost to BoxeR. At Blizzcon 2010 he finished 2nd, actually a disappointing result since the Chinese player had been undefeated before the final and lost in four straight maps to Genius. Since then his results have been poor all around.

For Moon this marks his third 2nd place of 2011 as he finished runnerup at the IEM V World Championship and Dreamhack Summer previously. The man known as "The fifth race" in WC3 has surprised many with performances outside of South Korea each time his meagre domestic results have lowered expectations.

Lyn was previously a member of SK Gaming during his time in WarCraft III and after that moved on to WeMade FOX. The latter organisation recently was disbanded and his future is as yet unknown.
