Bomber: "[esports]' similar to traditional sports"

ImageMLG Raleigh StarTale Bomber has been interviewed by forbes' website about MLG and SC2 in South Korea.

forbes' website has interviewed StarTale Terran KR Choi Ji 'Bomber' Sung. The MLG Raleigh champion discusses MLG competition and SC2's state in South Korea.

Bomber's thoughts on MLG:

"It was a tournament that I really, really, wanted to attend. I was trying to attend a competition earlier in the season, but my trip got delayed. I’m thankful that I was able to attend the Raleigh Pro Circuit and I personally think the most important tournaments are MLG and GSL."

Comparing MLG's competition to the Korean level:

"Personally I think a complicated league system like MLG is better for a gamer than a tournament system. Even if you’re really good, you will drop one or two games and so MLG has a huge positive with regards to that. If you want to talk about the overall balance, then I think it’s GSL Code S, MLG , and GSL Code A. This is just my personal opinion."

Why esports attracts large crowds:

"I think it’s similar to traditional sports. The drama and excitement draws in large crowds."

Bomber rose to prominence after winning the GSL May Code A finals over Mvp, the two time GSL champion considered the best Terran in the world at the time. In June he finished 3rd at Dreamhack Summer and 5th-8th in Code S. In the last few weeks Bomber managed to win MLG Raleigh, prevailing against CoCa in the final, but was eliminated in the Ro16 of Code S.
