After a long and gruelling qualification bracket, Lions swe, mTw , Mousesports and Moscow Five have all qualifier for the final European IEM Global Challenge New York qualifier following their respective performances in the 64-man preliminary qualifier.

The four teams will join the top four teams from the second preliminary qualifier, which takes place next Sunday, in the final qualifier on September 11 where only three teams will be able to secure a slot in the New York Global Challenge at Comic Con in mid-October.

Teams that have qualified for the final IEM GC New York EU qualifier:



Neither Frag eXecutors or SK Gaming , the respective champions and runners-up of e-Stars Seoul 2011, managed to secure a slot in the final qualifier after being knocked out in the bracket-stage of the first preliminary qualifier. What was even more surprising however was the fact that the Poles lost to the Moldovan team Alliance in the round-of-32.

Lions swe secured their slot in the final qualifier after defeating SK-Gaming with a score of 2:1 in the final round while Moscow Five managed to take out Moldova's Alliance to qualify. Mousesports managed to pull out a 2:0 win over notable to grab their slot in the September 11 qualifier and last but not least mTw took out WinFakt Fi to earn their slot in the qualifier.
