The SK Gaming League of Legends team has decided to make a change to their line-up. WetDreaM will leave with Snoopeh replacing him. After a some-what disappointing weekend at the IEM Global Challenge in Cologne, where the team were knocked out in the Group Stage (albeit by the eventual winners), it has been decided to make a change to the line-up.
Former
fnatic captain and former
SK Gaming captain,
Tim 'WetDreaM' Buysse will be leaving the team.
It is unknown yet whether Tim will join another team but he will certainly still be running and promoting his growing community website AbsoluteLegends.
Tim will be replaced by the currently #10 ranked player in the EU, solid Jungler,
Stephen 'Snoopeh' Ellis.
Snoopeh had this to say on joining SK Gaming :
Your first chance to see Snoopeh in action will be this weekend as he will compete in the WCG United Kingdom qualifiers with
One Night Only .
He will also be competing with
SK Gaming in the IEM Global Challenge New York Qualifiers.
Carlos 'ocelote' Rodríguez Santiago had this explanation for the reason behind the line-up change:
In addition to WetDream,
Sebastian 'Falli' Rotterdam has left his position as manager of the SK LoL team.
The current SK Gaming line-up is as follows:
Carlos 'ocelote' Rodríguez Santiago (Captain)
Mike 'Wickd' Petersen
Adrian 'Candy Panda' Wübbelmann
Patrick 'Nyph' Funke
Stephen 'Snoopeh' Ellis
Scott 'aBhorsen' Parkin (Manager)

"I'm really looking forward to playing with SK, previously I had played as a substitute and will now replace WetDream - who is a really cool guy and I wish him the best of luck with his future endeavours, specifically AbsoluteLegends.
I was previously in team
la GG who placed 3rd in the Chinese IEM Guangzhou Qualifiers - a very strong team which I reckon can become one of the top european teams in the coming months."

SK doesnt deserve anything in the LoL community until they can find any kind of Stability with thier players and thier team.
Maybe you just dislike oce's manners but, at the end, SK is moving forward and if they keep the good work they will be much more competitive from here.
i do not agree with the action of SK-gaming and Ocelot and the rest of the team for that matter. SK is and has been one of the most famous Gaming communitys since as long as i have been playing games. I belive that they should be able to handle things alot smoother then how they are handleing this problem.
Good luck to SK with the new Lineup, and if WetDream has to left, he just deserve it, thats my opinion.
But again is not necesary to compare players.
Good luck in China and thanks for the drama while the servers are down!
WAR SK!
Good luck to SK in future.
Good luck to Falli and WetDream also, keep working AbsoluteLegends, its very good project ;) See you all in game ! :)
Anyway, GL in the future WD, I hope you will find another team soon.
GL to Snoopeh aswell, I hope (and belive) you will be a great addition to SK.
First SK won 2-0 vs TSM who ranked 2nd of the IEM only losing to CLG (and beating both -M- and Fnatic along the way).
Second SK is the yougest lineup of the tournament and kicking a newcomer after a single tournament is rubbish.
Last but not least, a captain is the link between staff and players, he is not the player who calls bans. As far as I know Ocelote is the link between Staff and players, and rightfully so, beeing the oldest member of the squad.
Too bad, that team was serious shit, and WetDream had a lot of experience.
and since sleazy didnt do the picks and banns... you guys just get straight out picked/banned everytime i watch your matches vs. US Teams and almost every other pro team :/
ocelote this is not WoW, you are not a star anymore. wetdream is...
But seriously, kicking someone after a loss at some tournament to "kick the weak links out"?
It's the whole team that has to work together, I bet you guys were scribbling whole time lately as I read about the nidalee thing etc, you had to agree all 5. I think you all had to practice more together but ok.
It came to this, I understand WetDream's pov, he want to put out a point to everyone why he has been kicked and that he doesn't agree. Ocelote you're acting quite hard on the reactions from them which you should know it's normal.. You're a captain and it's your duty to keep it all cool, you kicked him out, but you got a reputation for kicking out people pretty fast. Maybe stick with some and practice together. Pointing fingers to the new people ain't the best.
Now I wish SK gaming and their newcommer goodluck in the future.
About Falli and WetDream, keep the community strong with Absolute Legends it's really great. And who knows what the future provides for you guys :)
Peace ! If you feel angry, go pwn some on the fields of justice !
Replacing people after failed events (In general) is just bad form. Ocelote may have a lot of sway and respect in SK and in some of the community as well, but the shear arrogance he's shown in this thread is just so unprofessional it makes my head spin.
Hope he's been told by the management that acting like an offended and spoiled brat really isn't giving SK the best image in e-sports - well at least not their lol-team.
Wetdream and Falli are out and I wish them the best of luck. Next time hopefully they'll have something in writing from their sponsors. It isn't the first time in SK-history where people were promised compensation / gear and got nothing.
GL to SK / Wetdream / Falli
PS. Really like your new aggressive playstyle.
