SK defeat fnatic to progress to upper semis
SK-Gaming have defeat fnatic on de_nuke and as result will progress to the upper-bracket semi-finals.
SK Gaming 16:10
fnatic on de_nuke (t 12:3 ct, ct 4:7 t)
SK Gaming was lead into a dominating terrorist first half on de_nuke by
Robert 'RobbaN' Dahlström who managed to lead the way as frag leader throughout the majority of the first half. Although fnatic started weak, they gradually got stronger throughout the first half, however the late bloom left SK with a 12:3 lead going into the second half. Also, fnatic at times looked shaky throughout their counter-terrorist side and the cracks started to appear when
Faruk 'pita' Pita accidentally hacked down
Patrik 'cArn' Sättermon with his M4.
Following the late bloom at the end the first half fnatic managed to maintain their stride at the start of the second round, taking the first two pistol rounds.
Patrik 'f0rest' Lindberg however soon changed the pace of the game when he took control of the third round with his AK47 which he confiscated off a fnatic member in the previous round. After many bitter gunfights and some agressive pushes by fnatic, some effective and some not so effective,
Johan 'face' Klasson ended the match with what could only be described as a 'sick' showcase of rifle-play in the last round which brought the score to 16:10.
SK Gaming will now proceed to the upper-bracket semi-finals where they will face off against the Danish side
mTw tomorrow at 6:30CET on de_forge. Fnatic meanwhile have been knocked down to the lower-bracket and will battle it out against the winner of
Spero Spera vs
x6tence to stay in the tournament.
