ImageAt this year's gamescom there will be three qualifiers for the $1 Million XP event in L.A. SK's Call of Duty side is going to participate in them!

Lately, we reported about the biggest event in e-Sports history. From 2nd - 3rd September there is a $1 Million tournament in Los Angeles powered by Activision and XBOX360. 32 teams from all over the world will fight for the prize money by playing Modern Warfare 3, a game which will first be released in November this year.

To get one of the popular tickets to L.A., you need to win one of the qualifiers. In Germany, there are three qualifiers at the gamescom which takes place from thursday to sunday next week. The DE SK Gaming Call of Duty team is going to participate in the qualifiers to make their way to L.A., if everything works out.

First of all, the teams need to pass a pre-qualification to get one of the 8 spaces in the qualifier itself. Therefore, the teams have to play one Team- Deathmatch match against a randomly chosen team which signed up as well. Then, the kill-death ratio of all teams will decide, which 8 teams make their way into the qualifier.

Afterwards, the 8 teams will fight in a single-elimation bracket for the tickets to L.A. playing MLG rules. Only the winners of each qualifier get the tickets, but there is the chance to play in all three qualifiers.

DE SK Gaming has to hark back to their team manager DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer, as DE Milan 'MiLiX' Mladanovic isn't allowed to play due to being not 18 years old yet.

Line up for XP:
CH Michael 'QuiCky' Bühler
DE Kevin 'raidN' Kreutzberg
DE Max 'Tapout' Anders
DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer
