Na`Vi's markeloff spoke to cnFrag about his teams losses at GameGume, the upcoming e-Stars event and who is the better AWPer between him and Delpan.Chinese coverage site cnFrag has interviewed elite level sniper
Yegor 'markeloff' Markelov of
Natus Vincere . The Ukrainian star discusses his team's losses at GameGune, looks to the upcoming e-Stars event next week and even compares himself to SK sniper Delpan. As usual the interview is provided in both English and Chinese.
Addressing his team's loss to
ESC at GameGune:
On how he shapes up in comparison to
Delpan:
Whether Promod can replace 1.6:
markeloff became known as an individual player thanks to his time in teams like
HellRaisers,
A-gaming and
DTS. He helped the latter to single map victories over
mTw and
Crack Clan at the KODE5 Spain qualifier in 2009. When
Na`Vi was formed at the beginning of 2010 he soon became recognised as one of the best players in the world and perhaps the best AWPer.
With Na`Vi in 2010 he won the IEM IV World Championship, ESWC, a WCG gold medal, Arbalet Best of Four, Dreamhack Winter, Arbalet Asia and Arbalet Cup Dallas. 2011 began slower, with a 4th at the IEM V European Finals, but since the Na`Vi has managed a run of 1st at the IEM V World Championship, 1st at ICSC7 finals, 1st at OSPL Spring, 3rd at Dreamhack Summer, 1st at Adepto BH and 3rd at GameGune.

Addressing his team's loss to
"I wish I could know. Maybe it was the echoes of SK loss, I really don’t know. I hope it won’t happen again, because I was sure we could beat SK in the grand final. Yet, we did a mistake that stopped us on the 3rd place. #sadface"
On how he shapes up in comparison to
"It’s really hard to compare me and Marcus. I think I play smarter with a big green gun and he probably has better reflexes, but I’m not sure about it"
Whether Promod can replace 1.6:
"No doubt CS Promod can’t replace a game like CS 1.6… To do that it should be a really similar game with same physics and stuff. I’m not sure it could happen sometime. But who knows!"
