After two days of great starcraft action the players representing Europe have been decided. The European Battle.net Invitational saw their conclusion today with an impressive performance by the overall winner
Joseph 'Ret' de Kroon.
During the entire tournament Ret looked unstoppable and made quick work of his opponent in the grand final,
Johan 'NaNiwa' Lucchesi. The two players met earlier in the tournament and Ret sent Naniwa to the loser's bracket where Naniwa fought his way back only to be beaten again in a straight 2-0 game against Ret.
With the shift in the style of pro's play to favour early expanding and trying to gain more of an economic advantage Ret's style of producing a lot of drones very quickly came into its own against a number of top players. The two players that will be competing at Blizzcon later this year will be Ret and Naniwa, the final results can be found below along with prize distribution.
