Heroes of Newerth has replaced Quake Live and will be one of the two titles, alongside CS 1.6, that will be featured at the BEAT IT competition which is to take place during Dreamhack Winter 2011 in Jönköping, Sweden from November 24th-27th.

A total of 11 teams will attempt to qualify for the tournament, 9 of which will attempt to do so via five international online qualifiers that will take place between August 20th and September 18th, while 2 more will try to do so at the DHW BYOC qualifier. fnatic have been invited to the event as the reigning Dreamhack Summer 2011 champions.

With this announcement, the total prize pool up for grabs at Dreamhack Winter 2011 rises to $45,000, as the official DHW 2011 HoN tournament was already announced (featuring a $15,000 prize) during DHS 2011.
