The first preliminary GC Guangzhou qualifier has concluded with fnatic, H4U, paistit and mousesports progressing to the main European qualifier in 2 weeks time.

The IEM Global Challenge Guangzhou preliminary qualifier #1 has concluded with

fnatic ,

hardware4u ,

Mousesports and paistit qualifying for the main European GC Guangzhou qualifier.

Hardware4u was the only team out of the four finalists who experienced resistance in their respective final match. With their final opponent being

TCM-Gaming , hardware4u boasting their new Danish duo had to battle through a third map in order to qualify for the main qualifier. The other teams on the other hand defeated their opponents with 2:0 scorelines.

As a result of their victories today the teams will be joined by four teams from the second preliminary qualifier on August 14 where eight teams will be battle it out for just three Global Challenge Guangzhou slots.
