It was a huge announcemnt for every Call of Duty console gamer. The CoD publisher Activision sponsors an event which you have never seen before.

From 2nd to 3rd September, gamers from all over the world will come together in Los Angeles, USA, to experience full-on Call of Duty action. During these two days, visitors will have the chance to play the new multiplayer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, as well as to play paintball on Scrapyard, a map of Modern Warfare 2 that was rebuilt for some paintball action. Tickets are already on sale, so if you are likely to pay $150 for two days, then take the chance for an amazing experience in L.A.

But the news of the day was the announcement of a 1 million Dollar CoD Black Ops tournament for the XBOX 360. There are several possibilities to qualify for the tournament, such as qualifier tournament LANs in chosen countries. Some qualifiers have already been played like the ones in the BeNeLux or Scandinavian states. In this overview you can find all the possibilities to qualify for the tournament. Winning one of these qualifiers means that you will get paid a flight, hotel and an entrance ticket from Activision.

The German qualifiers are going to be held at Gamescom in Cologne on 18th-20th August. There isn't any more information about the qualifier yet, but we will keep you up-to-date when something is announced.
