The National eSports Event is here, and it plans to revolutionize the eSports community.Starcraft 2 is slowly growing to become the premier eSports title for many tournaments and organizations. With its popularity and expansion as an eSport, more tournaments with incredible cash prizes are being announced left and right. The National eSports Event is one such tournament.
With promises of LAN finals in the "Sin City" of the United States: Las Vegas, Nevada, and with up to $30,000 to the first place winner, the National eSports Event or NeSE will surely be an exciting tournament where the best of the best will compete.
The NeSE will also feature an interesting format for awarding players who succeed in overcoming their opponents with a round by round award system.
The Full Information is Below:
The National eSports Event is a brand new and very unique StarCraft II Tournament in the United States.
We feature round by round cash prizes throughout the entire tournament. We host four separate tournaments per year (A, B, C, D) and we will derive four winners from each of those tournaments to compete in the NeSE Finals.
Our structure is comprised of thousands of four person brackets so in order to win a round you must win your two matches within your bracket. Once you have won a round that prize is always yours and even if you are eliminated in a future round you will still receive that cash prize.
The first round is worth $20 and the prize amount doubles every round thereafter ($20, $40, $80, $160, $320 and $640). Any player who wins an entire tournament will earn $1,260 and we feature a 1v1 bracket as well as a 2v2 bracket. Any player can register for both bracket, but you must do so by registering for one and then upgrading your profile. All 2v2 teams will require an approval from your teammate on our web site in order to verify you are being honest.
The last round of every tournament (Round 6) is the NeSE Final Fifty where the top 50 players/teams will go head to head in 2 weeks of scheduled matches in a Round Robin format.
The 4 winners from this round will receive a plus two guest list for an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas to compete in the NeSE Finals for a 1st Place Prize of $30,000, a 2nd Place Prize of $15,000 and 3rd Place Prize of $7,500. The NeSE will also provide complimentary night/day life arrangements and more for all players.
Currently there is no information on whether the NeSE is only open to North American players, or to all players around the world. The NeSE is also only exclusively using Starcraft 2 as its main eSports title, but has plans to expand and include other popular eSport games on both the PC and console.

Its looking like some shady business, so please inform the viewers to keep their guard up with this tournament.
The Team Liquid thread, although rough at times, was a very productive topic for the NeSE overall. It has generated substantial interest in our organizations on the behalf of some third party companies. We have, from day 1, been working towards making this event as "cool" as we possibly can which is why we spent 17 months establishing it before launching. The one item that would make this event the "coolest" would be to eliminate the entry fee to the event. At this current point in time we are unable to do so, but as I said we have generated some new interests. We are working towards making this a possibility, but it may not take full action for quite some time.
The NeSE has already sponsored a qualifier at Z33K.com and the second qualifier was announced this afternoon and can be found at http://www.z33k.com/starcraft2/tournaments/2130-nese-1v1-open-qualifier-2. We have also finalized the ItsGoSu eSports Invitational tournament that the NeSE is sponsoring which consists of $1,000 for 1st, $500 for 2nd and $250 for 3rd. This is a 64 Player Invitational tournament that will occur on August 3rd and 4th and can be found here http://www.itsgosu.com/game/sc2/news/it-s-gosu-partners-with-ne-se_205. We will be sponsoring and hosting many more tournaments outside of the NeSE main event.
Our focus lies solely in eSports and whatever we can do to support eSports. Which is why we will not only continue to sponsor and host tournament but also request player feedback for tournament ideas. We are currently featuring a brand new type of competition that was also announced this afternoon that can be found here http://www.ne-se.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=21&sid=a87b17211d25490fb19a39cfce6b0633. The NeSE is hosting a monthly competition accessible by anyone, anywhere in the world. Submit your tournament format idea and have a chance to win $100, have your idea sponsored and named after you, an invitation to participate in the broadcast and meet the winners of your tournament. We will continue to bring more "cool" stuff like this to the public as we continue to evolve. We also would love the opportunity to work with SKgaming should the chance present itself!
Now for the NeSE controversy, ItsGosu has assured the community that the NeSE is legitimate, and I personally think that with ItsGosu's backing it's alright to keep this news post up. However, at the moment's notice it's revealed that NeSE is being a lying PRICK, then SK will react accordingly.
