e-Stars commented on the selections:

"During the voting period, which team will be European representative has received much attention, because world’s best teams are crowded. Finally, 6 teams are selected: SK-Gaming from Sweden, Natus Vincere(Na`Vi) from Ukraine, fnatic from Sweden, mTw from Denmark, x6tence from Spain, and Mousesports from Germany.

SK-Gaming (Sweden) that has created the world’s best line-up after recruiting the former fnatic players is taken the first place in the European Candidates list. fnatic (Sweden) ranks second with the honor of participating in e-Stars Seoul 5 times consecutively since 2007. Na`Vi, for which Korean CS fan is waiting most, makes a 3rd. Na`Vi has drawn attention after winning the major games like WCG, IEM, ESWC, etc in 2010. Also, Mousesports from Germany, who fails to enter the finalist list every year because of disqualified achievement, despite of high score in the voting party, can enjoy a delight with the first participation in e-Stars Seoul.

3 selected Asian teams are redCode from South Korea, Tyloo from China, and UMX from Taiwan Province in China. When the result came out, UMX (Taiwan/China) reacted with joy while wNv (China) with disapointment. UMX (Taiwan/China), who took the fourth place in fan voting part, qualified for attending the finals with taking 3rd place in total. Meanwhile, wNv (China) taking 3rd place in fan vote failed to be an entry with holding 6th in total.

Team EG (USA) and UMX.us (USA) are selected in the American Candidates list."
