With the Chinese World Cyber Games qualifier fast approaching, the organisers of the event have drawn the groups for the event which will feature a total of nine teams. The teams qualified for WCG China after defeating all local teams in their respective cities and as a result some of China's most talented players will clash for a chance to compete in the WCG 2011 grand finals in Busan, South Korea later this year.

The event will take place from August 5 - 7 in Shanghai, China with the top two teams from each group proceeding to the playoff stage where they will battle it out in best-of-three formatted games. Only the winning however team will walk away with a slot in the WCG 2011 grand finals.
