Grand Finals Recap:
SK Gaming 16:8
Moscow Five (7:8 T, 9:0 CT) on de_nuke
SK Gaming began their final campaign on the terrorist side of de_nuke and ran into an early lead after taking the opening pistol rounds following by the first buy round. Moscow Five were not put off by SKs early aggression however and in the fifth round
Eduard 'ed1k' Ivanov came out huge with his deagle, pulling off some amazing shots before winning the round. Shaken up by the deagle round SK soon lost control of the first half of the map with the Russians pulling ahead ever so slightly with a score of 8:7 going into the second half.
After cooling down, SK dominated the second half of the map on the CT side with
Robert 'RobbaN' Dahlström pulling off a 3man clutch in the first buy round and the rest of the squad keeping a cool head throughout the half. In the end, SK took nine rounds in a row without conceding a single round to the terrorists to win the first map.
SK Gaming 14:16
Moscow Five (6:9 CT, 8:7 T) on de_tuscan
From start to finish, de_tuscan was a close affair between the Russian and Swedish sides, however Moscow Five managed to take control of the first half with their aggressive and precision play, bringing them into an early lead on what some people would say as the harder side.
Furthermore, when both sides swapped, it was clear that the advantage that they made in the terrorist side played key to the success of the Russians in the second half. Filled with confidence,
Alexander 'xek' Zobkov was on fire with his rifle play and towards the end of the second half,
Sergey 'Fox' Stolyarov managed to take three SK players out before defusing the bomb, giving the Russians the opening they needed to take the map off SK Gaming.
SK Gaming 16:12
Moscow Five (7:8 CT, 9:4 T) on de_train
With everything resting on the final map, SK began their CT side by taking the first pistol round. The Russians with their daring actions however managed to win the second round on an eco after
Mihail 'Dosia' Stolyarov took out
Marcus 'Delpan' Larsson with a pistol when both players were on low hp. As a result, SK lost the third round however they took back control on the forth round.
SK however soon found themselves is a tough position when the Russians came out fighting with a steel chin, pushing the Swedes back hard and fast. Also, after taking many rounds, Moscow Five witnessed a buzzing
Roman 'ROMJkE' Makarov pull out an amazing triple kill. SK, not put off by the Russian dominance, finished off the first half with some amazing rounds however, seeing
Robert 'RobbaN' Dahlström going huge with his pistol and
Johan 'face' Klasson grabbing a four man. Still, SK had a lot of work to do if they were to claw back a 7:8 score on the terrorist half of the map.
In the second half of the map, SK jumped out of their shoes and into their boots, taking round after round. Moscow Five failed to predict
Robert 'RobbaN' Dahlström's tactics and as a result lost the lead that they worked so hard to get and in the end lost the second half with an amazing SK coming back (securing nine rounds while losing just four to win the finals).
