The results of the fan voting section of the e-Stars Seoul 2011 selection process has come to an end and the results are known. The fan voting section of the selection process for e-Stars Seoul 2011 has came to a close on the last day of June. Fan voting will account for 50% of the criteria on which the committee selects the teams who will attend the South Korean event, with past achievements accounting for the other 50%.
The final field will contain 16 teams: reigning champions
Frag eXecutors , 6 European teams, 3 Asian teams, 2 American teams and 4 local qualifiers.
In light of the final selection process being up to the committee it will be interesting to see which way they fall on a number of the close decisions. It would seem, to outsiders, that
mTw still has a good chance of making it to Seoul in light of being the champions of the 2008 edition, one of the top 4 teams in the world and coming less than 2,000 votes behind a less impressive
Lions lineup, after Gux's departure. Will the committee invite
UMX US instead of the Argentinian
Wild Ineters who finished less than 1,500 votes ahead of them?
One of the strangest voting results, Wild Ineters aside, is
Power Gaming finishing 8th in the voting, despite not having had an active Counter-Strike team since even the creation of the poll.
