Worldwide's first 3D champion crowned: SK.HuskY

Image18 finalists, 4,000 m² exhibition, $5,000 prize money and one prestigious title: That's the NVIDIA 3D Vision Cup Grand Final in Lille.

This upcoming weekend, from 1st to 3rd July 2011, NVIDIA is searching for the first 3D Vision champion in competitive gaming. Throughout the Masters Français du Jeu Video season, everybody had the chance to qualify himself for the Grand Final. But only the following 18 players came out on top and will fight against each other in order to win $5,000 prize money as well as hardware prizes:

1st place: €2,000 + 3D-ready 23" TFT monitor + NVIDIA GTX580 + 1x EA Game + 1x NVIDIA bag
2nd place: €1,000 + 3D-ready 23" TFT monitor + 1x EA Game + 1x NVIDIA bag
3rd place: €500 + 3D-ready 23" TFT monitor + 1x EA Game + 1x NVIDIA bag
4th place: 1x EA Game

While the qualifying events were played with the newest Need for Speed title, it was announced that Need for Speed SHIFT is going to be the deciding game in Lille. Furthermore Playseats, Logitech G27 and NVIDIA Vision Surround Technology are set up to make the final even more spectacular. The groupstage with four groups will start on Saturday at 9am with a qualifying session for each group. Seedings, tracks and cars will be announced on site. Groupstage races, where the first 10 players are going to be eliminated, will take place at 4pm on Saturday. Semi-final and Grand Final will be played on Sunday at 2pm.
