ESL have reveiled that Games Convention will host their first global challenge of the sixth season of their Intel Extreme Masters.Shortly after announcing the sixth season of their Intel Extreme Masters and the headlining games, the Electronic Sports League have now revealed the first global challenge to kickoff the campaign.
The sixth season will once again head back to Games Convention (Gamescon) where it will host the first Global Challenge. Two games will feature, seeing new addition League of Legends make its debut as a main title along with StarCraft:II.
Statement from Michal 'Carmac' Blicharz, Director of Pro Leagues at Turtle Entertainment:
There will be a total of 53,000 Dollars in prize money and World Championship places for the winners of both tournaments. The event is scheduled to take place during 17-21 August in Cologne, Germany.
