x6tence withdraw from ICSC 8
x6tence have withdrawn from the Intel Challenge Cup 8 following their recent lineup changes.
x6tence is the latest team to desert the Intel Challenge Super Cup 8, bringing the total number of teams that have pulled out of the second group-stage alone to five. According to HLTV.org, x6tence have pulled out of the event in order to give themselves more time to practice with their new lineup.
Last week, x6tence announced that
Borja 'GuMmY' González would be departing the team due to internal problems. As a result, he was replaced by 2005-06 x6tence star
Aitor 'milicua' Fernández, a player who has come out of retirement after giving up his mouse in 2007.
With the Spaniards now out of the tournament,
TCM-Gaming and
tao will now automatically advance to the playoff stage as they are the only two teams left in Group B. They will still have to play eachother however in order to secure a better seed in the LAN finals.
