ImageGameGune organisers have announced that the 2011 event, taking place from July 22 - 24, will feature a €22,500 (~$32,000) prize pool for Counter-Strike 1.6.

GameGune will this year feature 16 international teams (down from last years 28) and will retain the same prize pool of €22,500 (~$32,000) for the Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament as the 2010 tournament which was won by SE fnatic.

Prize pool breakdown:

1. €12,000 (~$17,000)
2. €6,000 (~$8,500)
3. €3,000 (~$4,250)
4. €1,500 (~$2,125)

The GameGune Counter-Strike tournament, which will take place at the Bilbao's Exhibition Centre (BEC) from July 22 - 24, will start with a group-stage. From there, only the best teams will proceed to the single elimination playoff stage of the tournament.

Last years GameGune CS tournament saw SE fnatic defeat PL Frag eXecutors in the grand finals following two close maps which were both won by the Swedes.
