ImageAfter a long three day event, the Dreamhack Summer 2011 has concluded with SK Gaming being crowned the champions of the CS championship after defeat mTw on de_inferno and de_train.

SE SK Gaming have won their third tournament of the Dreamhack Summer 2011 event, this time defeating the 2010 DH Summer champions DK mTw on de_inferno followed by de_train to be crowned the new champions of the Dreamhack Summer.

SE SK Gaming 16:12 DK mTw on de_inferno (T 6:9, CT 10:3)
SE SK Gaming 16:14 DK mTw on de_train (CT 13:2, T 3:12)

The grand finals began on de_inferno and saw SK Gaming take an early lead on the terrorist side after taking the opening pistol rounds. mTw however quickly turned the tides in their favour and after proving to be an impenetrable wall ran into a 9:6 lead.

When the teams swapped sides, mTw were able to take the opening rounds and as a result were able to maintain their lead for a short time. After being on the back-foot however for most of the match, SK Gaming finally replied by taking round, after round, after round. In the end, after a bitter trade off, SK were able to lock down the map with a score of 16:12.

The next destination was de_train and SK Gaming marched into a huge 13:2 lead on the favoured CT side. mTw were at a major disadvantage coming into the second half, with a lost in the pistol round possible being their demise. As a result Danes managed to keep their cool and hit hard and fast, taking many rounds with quick succession as CTs. The wounds inflicted by SK Gaming however decided to give way with the Swedes managing to edge ever so slightly ahead of the Danes, in the end bring the score to 16:14 to win the map as well as the championship.

Dreamhack Summer 2011 - Final Standings:

1. SE SK Gaming - ~$9,600 & hardware prizes
2. DK mTw - ~$4,800 & hardware prizes
3. UA Natus Vincere - ~$1,600
