The much anticipated clash between SK Gaming and fnatic in the final of IOL FINAL4 2011 turned out to be somewhat anti-climactic as SK thrashed fnatic soundly in two straight games, fnatic managing five rounds in the entire series. SK take home CPUs, Monitors, iPads and laptops as their spoils.

The group stage match on nuke, which had ended in a tie, had pumped up the crowd, beyond the default state of excitement caused by the Delpan trade, to expect big things from the final. fnatic clawing a point from a game in which f0rest had put up 43 kills, and won a number of rounds seemingly single-handidly, looked to be a positive sign for the chemistry of the new fnatic lineup.
