Community legend bds talks about Geekboys/Sogamed, the death of the SEL and his favourite version of CS.In this special 1on1
Andreas 'bds' Thorstensson, the man who helped build the SK Gaming we now know, talks at length about his career in Counter-Strike from player to manager to community builder.
In part three bds looks back on the creation of Geekboys/Sogamed, the rise and fall of the Swedish Esport League and the different beta versions of CS.
What was significant about the existence of Geekboys? Why did bds choose to use an ASCII design? Was bds surprised by Sogamed being run into the ground after he gave it away? Why did the SEL fail? Is a league like that needed today? Which is bds' favourite version of Counter-Strike and which feature would he bring back if he had the power?

I wonder if the current downfall of CS is linked to his retiring of the community (or the opposite maybe...)
It's sad he stepped back from gaming but on the other hands a return could be in the picture , as you can see in the interview he still positive into helping the current scene.I hope he starts a new project soon !
Aswell for the SK site what it is today? you can't compare it to the SK website 2002-2006 when he was in it everybody had SK insider , the site was getting pumped with news, updates, coverages etc.. i even remembered myself refreshing the sk page during pcw's all the time. which now is certainly not the case and i am speaking for a big part of the community when there is a 30+ comments thread it's a huge thing for the current website.
so bds get back ;)
