bds 1on1 2/4: "sNajdan is the best IGL ever"

By Duncan 'Thorin' Shields
Jun 11, 2011 00:34

ImageFormer SK lynchpin bds talks about the '03-'07 lineups, the HeatoN-Potti combo and why fnatic could have been more successful.

In this special 1on1 SE Andreas 'bds' Thorstensson, the man who helped build the SK Gaming we now know, talks at length about his career in Counter-Strike from player to manager to community builder.

In part two, of four, bds talks about SK's lineups from 2003 to 2007.

Is it true SK sometimes recruited players to destroy their rival teams? Why does bds say "fnatic could have been a lot more successful"? Was the SK.swe 2003 lineup the greatest ever in terms of possessing all the qualities a great team should? What were the strengths of the 2005 SK.swe lineup? What was about SE HeatoN and SE Potti that bds admired the most?

What was bds' perspective on why the SE NiP revolt of early 2005, with SK.swe leaving to form a new organisation, failed so miserably? Was he surprised HeatoN and Potti never got back to the top despite playing with SE walle and SE zet? What is SE sNajdan "the best IGL ever"? What happened to SK at the 2004 WCG? Why were the 2006-2007 lineups plagued by having three in-game-leaders?

(Note: this interview was conducted in July of 2010 so bds is referring to fnatic/SK lineups from then)
