ImageTeamLiquid have a translated interview with Chinese star xiaOt, who has reached the semi-final of StarsWar with wins over MarineKing and IdrA.

Over at TeamLiquid an interview with CN Sun Li 'xiaOt' Wei has been translated from Chinese to English. xiaOt has proven to be one of the stars of Chinese SC2 with his run through StarsWar 6 to the semi-final, which has yet to be played, defeating KR Jung-Hoon 'MarineKing' Lee, KR Cho Won 'San' Kang and US Gregory 'IdrA' Fields.

xiaOt's advice to people who want to become a progamer:

"I think that if you want to be a pro, first you need to find your position. You may be not become an e-sports pro just because you love it. You must keep a good attitude before you can show your good performance, you need to keep working hard and improving yourself when facing difficulties and frustrations, because a pro's daily practice is also a tough work. After seem-shining-report, a pro himself tastes all kinds of hardships."

Whether he will compete in the GSL in the future:

"I will go to GSL this year. At first I want to take part in GSL held in June, but WCG China has started, and I delayed my travel to GSL."

His thoughts on the state of domestic SC2:

"I think the big circumstance of Chinese E-Sports has awake gradually, and there are more and more professional organizations have appeared. Many professional media, such as DUOWAN (www.sc2.com.cn) began to report the news and other things. And clubs with their members are doing the same thing. Now we pursue our dream step by step, which is unlike the “E-Sports Bubbles” in 2005 and 2006."

xiaOt was a WarCraft III player prior to the release of SC2. His accomplishments include making the final of IEF Masters in 2007, defeating CN TH000, CN Sky and taking three maps off FR ToD over the entirety of the tournament. The year before that he finished 2nd in the CEG Xi'an Tour, defeating KR Lyn and KR Sweet along the way.
