aAa, Gamed.de and Fnatic will represent the EU.This weekend saw the League of Legends, Season 1 finals qualifiers. The finals will be held at Dreamhack Summer.
SK Gaming went into the 8 team double elimination competition with confidence. SK were the number #1 seed after their season long strong performances and the first game against Tictacs went according to plan.

Now as you all know SK went into this as the #1 seed and so it was a bitterly disappointing weekend for our guys, I thought I’d ask

SK managed to go a straight 2-0 vs Tictacs which sent us through to the next round vs Gamed.de where a win won guarantee a top 3 finish for either team and a place at Dreamhack summer.
The match started well with SK taking the first game,
Mike 'Wickd' Petersen put in a very strong performance on lane Warwick totally out creeping and out levelling the opponent Malzahar, played by
Wai Noch 'Reyk' Shum
This left SK needing just one more win to qualify, sadly the second game went to Gamed.de

The second game was a marathon of a game, lasting 1 hour and 5 minutes, which is very rare for competitive LoL. At this point in the match it was aware both teams were playing cautious, neither one seemed to be able to take the initiative and force the team fights, sadly for SK, Gamed.de managed to get the better of the late team fights and took the second game.
Whether it was the defeat that knocked the wind out of the sails of SK or something else entirely, the second game was in control by Gamed.de for a while. Although it lasted till near the 50 minute mark the score was strongly in favour of Gamed.de with the scores at 21-4 kills.
This victory for Gamed.de gave them their ticket to Dreamhack.

The loss to Gamed.de meant that SK went down to the losers’ bracket; they still had the chance to qualify if they could win their next two matches.
SK got back to winning form against Avec Le Style and sent them home 2-1 which would see SK go against the old enemy, Fnatic.

Once again SK started their match well. In a match that lasted 40 minutes SK led by a strong performance by recent addition
Asger 'Limelight' Karl managed to get the first point of the match to go 1-0 up.
Limelight went 9-2-5 on Corki.
Unfortunately it then all went downhill for SK. Fnatic managed to take control of the fixture and in a repeat of the Gamed.de match managed to turn around a 1-0 deficit to defeat SK 2-1.

"These tourney-kind-of qualifiers are so tricky and maybe a bad idea for teams that are 1st ranked in the overall year ranking.
As you could see, we hadn't the best gameplay in that saturday preciselly, and that sent us to the bottom bracket, where we faced Fnatic, and it went a bit equal, but in these kind of games, where two similar teams fight for a spot everything can happen.
Would be nice if the next year the things change a bit, and the First and Second seeded just go directly to DreamHack, to prevent these Catastrophes.[sic]"

We qualified to the EMS from Spanish qualifier and we won it, also 5 go4lol. And Riot wanted to keep all that points to you.
Gl in germany Oce. Hope you win that tournament!
Greetings!
Despite the fact that I like watch SK.lol, please do not be a hypocrite. At THIS moment, you are obviously NOT the best team in Europe. I mean how you can be, when before DH quialifications, you've lost like 8/10 official games vs for example fnatic?
