Image3D in eSports? It has finally arrived: NVIDIA France is hosting the first 3D tournament and SK.HuskY` has qualified for the Grand Final in Lille.

Les Masters Français du Jeu Video is actually a considerable national championship in France, but this season they have added an international 3D tournament to their games list. The past nine months NVIDIA's 3D Vision Cup took place at six different locations all over France during the biggest Masters Français du Jeu Vidéo events. The tournament was free-for-all and always played with the newest three-dimensional Need for Speed title.

The top three of each qualifying stop were able to win valuable NVIDIA, PNY and EA products as well as a ticket to the Grand Final in Lille during 1st - 3rd July 2011. Which means that eighteen players in total will fight for their chance to be the first 3D Vision Champion. Furthermore there will be $5,000 given out to the best players. More information about the tournament itself is still to be announced though.

However, Danny 'HuskY' Engels did not pass up his golden opportunity and went to Maxlan, which is one of the biggest French offline gaming events. Even though the qualifier was played with Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, HuskY` still finished in second place and qualified himself for the Grand Final which will most likely be played with his more favoured Need for Speed: Shift. Check out the Maxlan Review video to get more impressions of Les Masters Français du Jeu Video and NVIDIA 3D Vision Cup.
