This news has been attracting a lot of attention as of late and as such deserves some attention. Intrigue of the Team Liquid.net staff recently decided to take an in-depth look at the current pro scene in StarCraft 2 and comes out swinging the big guns.

What is gaining him so much attention is the fact that, using basic math by looking at the records of the existing StarCraft 2 Korean pros that made the switch from Brood War and comparing them to those who have yet to make the switch that up until now what we have seen in a mere "farce" and that once these pros make the switch over from Brood War the entire existing scene will be completely demolished by their vastly superior abilities.

Obviously anyone posting an article like that is going to be met with immense amounts of skepticism and in fact many people both on Team Liquid and on SCReddit have already made threads calling out the author for making blanket statements with very little to prove his accusations besides a very VERY small subset of statistics that should not be taken as 100% fact.

Making statements like Brood War pros haven't switched to SC2 because of the money they are making now and only the "second-stringers" of Brood War have switched because of the allure of making lots of money they could never make in Brood War, Intrigue has managed to create a huge group of haters and very few supporters just because of the aggressive tone he has taken.

So go and judge for yourself if his arguements for why everything we've seen so far in the StarCraft 2 scene is nothing but a shadow of what can and will happen once the remaining Brood War pros switch over.
