Na`Vi cancel ICSC8 participation

ImageICSC7 champions Na`Vi have cancelled their participation in the 8th season of the tournament due to the Zeus' situation as a new father.

Intel Challenge Super Cup Season 7 champions UA Natus Vincere have announced via their website that they are cancelling their participation in Season 8 of the competition. The team's captain UA Danylo 'Zeus' Teslenko recently becoming the father of a newly born daughter was the primary reason behind the team's decision.

Manager ZeroGravity's explanation translated via google:

"The tournament Intel Challenge SuperCup - this is the tournament that you want to come prepared at 100%, even more so with such participation. In connection with recent events in our team, we have decided to opt out of this season. We are accustomed to please our fans a good preparation and high-quality game, but at the moment we are not willing to participate in such conditions."

Na`Vi won the last ICSC season with an incredibly narrow two maps to one victory over Frag eXecutors in the final. Prior to that they had defeated the very same team to win their second IEM World Championship title. Na`Vi chose not to attend the Xperia PLAY tournament held at Copenhagen Games last month also due to the birth of Zeus' daughter. Should Na`Vi still be considered world #1s at the time of the ICSC8 finals the event will mark another missed opportunity, after Xperia PLAY, for the other elite teams to vie for the top spot in the world.

Zeus is well known as one of the most impeccable tacticians in terms of preparation and reading. He won the MVP award at Arbalet Cup Asia in 2010, Na`Vi's first event victory.
