After an apathetic day, the match that we have all been waiting for finally kicked off; SK vs Addicted 2 Games in the grand finals of the IOL S3D4 event.

SK Gaming got off to a flying start on the first map of the grand finals, de_inferno, taking seven rounds in a row on the CT side before being finally shut down by a2g. After taking two consecutive rounds, a2g failed to build up momentum and although they took another round before the end of the first half, they would have to settle with a first half score of 12:3 in favor of SK.

After being massacred on the first half of the map and failing to secure a single kill, Finn 'qp' Sjöström managed to redeem himself by scoring a hatrick and a bomb defuse on the first round of the second half. qps glory was short lived however with Sk managing to break the defenses of a2g in the second round of the second half. From there on, a2g could not stop the AK power of Christopher 'GeT_RiGhT' Alesund and company, leaving SK to take the first map with a score of 16:4.

SK went on to win de_train with a score of 16:6, thus wrapping up the series. SK will now proceed to the IOL Season 3 FINAL4 to defend their titles as last seasons champions. Furthermore, SK will go home 50,000SEK (~$7,944) better off.
