Fnatic kicked out of the EPS
Fnatic have been disqualified from the EPS for using ringers.
fnatic were due to play against
SK Gaming in the first round of the EPS playoffs last night however they have been disqualified from the tournament for using ringers.
In the EPS your team must consist of 60% German based players (3 out of 5), fnatic were issued 3 Penalty points in the group stage for using a ringer (A non-German player, playing on a German player's account).
They still managed to qualify for the next stage. After the 3 penalty points, fnatic were made to replay the match however in the replay of the match they again used a ringer.
Intial reaction is that Fnatic deny the claims but the ESL has taken action regardless.
EDIT: More details have emerged, in their first game they did knowingly use a ringer. In the second game they were using a player from
My.Revenge , this was legitimate as he was made part of the fnatic team. However this player then allowed a friend to play for him on his account (reason unknown) without the knowledge of the other fnatic players.
They will be replaced by
Peculiar Gaming who will now face SK Gaming in the first playoff.

1. Noone at fnatic is denying the fact of the ringing, both incidents have been admitted by the people involved. The first incident was instigated by the team captain and carried out by two fnatic players (a non-German playing for a German to circumvent the "German majority" rule). The second incident was carried out by an orga and a myRevenge player (a player from another team playing for the orga that was the last eligible German player in the roster), in this case team captain is denying being involved or knowing about it.
2. The second ringing incident was not in some old match and found out about afterwards. It happened in the rematch that was necessary because of the first incident.
In response to 1, as i stated those were what was said intially. More details are emerging and i will update the article as appropiate.
3 german are needed, being ESL Trusted lv3.
