EG defeat DINC to win ESEA-I S8
Evil Geniuses have defeated Damage INC to win the ESEA Invite Season 8 along with a $7,000 prize for first place.
Damage Inc crawled through the lower bracket to face the upper bracket winners
in the LAN finals of the ESEA Invite Season 8 finals. The two teams began their conquest for the ESEA-I S8 title on de_lite where DINC took an early 13-2 lead as CT. Team EG however managed to dominate the second half of the game and in the end take the map with a close 16-14 scoreline. EG went on to take the second map, de_dust2, with a score of 16-11, thus winning the season.
As a result Evil Geniuses have banked $7,000, as well as their sixth ESEA 1st place title.

"Although we only lost 1 map throughout the LAN, it was actually one of the more competitive American LANs that I can remember. I know it was a very big deal for EG to defend their championship (I wasn't on the roster for last season) especially since there were a lot of strong teams this time around."
