The organisers of the A*US 2011 Spring event have announced a prize purse of 275,000 rubles (~$10,000) for Counter-Strike 1.6.

The ASUS Spring 2011 event will feature a total prize purse of 275,000 rubles (~$10,000) which is 25,000 rubles less that the Winter 2011 event and once again, the finals of the season will take place in the world renowned CyberSports Arena in Kiev, Ukraine.

Teams from the CIS will be able to qualify for the event both online and offline with information regarding the qualifiers being announced shortly. However, teams from outside the CIS that want to take part in the event will have to apply by sending an email to esportdaily@gmail.com.

Furthermore, defending champions

Moscow Five , who defeated Iron Will in the finals of ASUS Winter 2011, automatically qualify for the event.
