ex-coL: "fnx's departure became inevitable"

ImageThe team formerly known as coL.br will still attend the Xperia PLAY tournament at Copenhagen Games, taking ex-MiBR player spacca along as a stand-in for the recently departed fnx.

Despite being removed from the coL organisation the team formerly known as BR compLexity br will be attending the CS:S tournament held at Copenhagen Games April 21st to 23rd. They will use ex-MiBR player BR Guilherme 'spacca' Spacca as a stand-in for the Danish event.

The ex-coL players will also apparently remain in their São Paulo apartment, which was apparently not paid by coL anyway.

A lengthy statement released by the ex-coL lineup:

"We all know that fnx's role inside the game is unquestionable. Some internal problems with the entire team began because of his posture in practice matches and commitment with the Games Academy. We were one week away from our trip to Copenhagen, where we will play the CS:S tournament at Copenhagen Games.

Suddenly, after a useless argument in our last match last Sunday in the group stage of the TD ZOWIE Cup, instead of facing the problems and trying to find a solution, he simply decided to ignore everyone who was living with him, not talking to anyone and disappearing every day, barely even showing up for practice.

We tried to solve what was going on internally. Even with his lack of commitment, in the course of the week we talked a lot between us and with fnx, we were willing to forgive everything he had done. After all, we have been friends for a long time and he deserved that credit.

Unfortunately, he was not humble enough to admit he was acting in an inappropriate way. Soon after that, in a brief argument during a match, we came to what we considered that was the last chance for him to review all he had been doing.

Contrary to what we expected, even explaining that the other four members of the team did not agree with what he had been doing, he still insisted he thought he was right. We reached a dead end.

fnx's departure became inevitable because what we need are professional and commited players who can see the great opportunity we have with the appartment and the Games Academy project.

When we signed with compLexity, they made it clear that no change to the lineup would be welcomed. After bit's departure, which was already sad, fnx's exit was the breaking point in the partnership. We thank every moment provided by them and we are very grateful for all the efforts"

spacca joined MiBR in early 2009, ironically following the departure of fnx. During his time the team failed to make it out of the IEM III Global Finals and IEM IV Chengdu group stages as well as being eliminated in the second round of Kode5.
