Min Chul 'MC' Jang continues to show that he is one of the strongest players in the world and a favourite for DreamHack Invitational. After beating July at the GSL finals and knocking out Morrow out of DreamHack, MC now seizes EG's Gregory 'IdrA' Fields with a convincing 2:0 win.

Idra encountered some heavy harass right from the beginning being forced to repel MC's Phoenix harass that evaporated nearly a two-digit number of Queens. Having a quick third, however, Idra had enough larvae to get back in the game and suddenly he had a large ground army. Having already researched Burrow and Burrow Movement for his Roaches, Idra rallied all he got towards MC's base and with impeccable burrow micro managed to snipe all the Colossi and Sentries of the Protoss.

Still having a decent economy, however, MC managed to reinforce with consecutive waves of Sentries and stalled the reinforcements of Idra long enough so he can saturate a gold third. Idra in the meanwhile was teching to Brood Lords but a misplacement of those cost him his entire army and later - the entire game.

Idra was probably sick of it all (or particularly of this match-up) that he went for a 6-pool on Caverns. Needless to say, this was scouted by MC on time and the entrance was blocked, thus completely denying Idra's cheese and eliminating him from the tournament.
