Johan 'NaNiwa' Lucchesi has won MLG Dallas 2011 and the first place prize of $5,000 after defeating Jonathan 'KiWiKaKi' Garneau 4:2 in the Grand Final.

The Swede came into the event having to fight his way through the Open bracket but he did exactly that and then smashed his group by winning all four games by 2:0 scores. In the playoffs it was pretty much more of the same as he won the upper bracket 2:0 by beating KiWiKaKi and SeleCT.

In the Grand Final he was once more paired against the Canadian KiWiKaKi and the Swede finally lost some maps before taking down the title. NaNiwa's final map record for MLG Dallas was 26:2 which can only be applauded.

NaNiwa had a disappointing Assembly Winter 2011 after a loss to the unknown Finn Tripal in the group stage saw the Swede matched up against the eventual champion Ret in only the second round of the playoffs, dooming him to a 9th-16th overall placing.
