Halo:Reach Saturday Night is over and their were a lot of surprises and upsets going down in Texas...The Halo:Reach competition at MLG Dallas 2011 is just ridiculous. Once again, the new Pool Play format gave spectators plenty of exciting matchups throughout the day. The top four Open bracket teams were placed into their respective pools and were forced to battle it out against the Top 16 seeded teams.
As the competition began to heat up, all eyes were locked on Pool A, containing Final Boss, Carbon, THO Impact, Classic and Soul. Soul, the top seeded Open Bracket team, pushed their momentum to the top and prooved themself with amazing results. The newcomers upset Carbon and Classic with 3-0 and 3-1 scores. In their next series against then-undefeated Impact , also in the past known as SickerThanYourAverage.

The European Group D was topped by Believe the Hype with an undefeated record. They were followed by Triggers Down, Darkest Hour, Power and Cyber Bullies. After being placed into LB4, Power Gaming could one again not live up their expections and lost in the LB against an unknown AM team called Door Equals Gym with BUK57 only getting 3 kills on the final 5h map, TS on Element, which im sure, let the team down a lot and we can most-likely predict a roster-change in the upcoming weeks before ECL Blackpool 2011.

"In what was arguably the most exciting series of the event, Soul managed to pull off the upset and give Impact their first and only defeat of the tournament. The match went all the way to Game 5, Team Slayer on Element. Formal led his team to a 50-46 win with a massive 22 kills. This upset created a three-way tie between Impact, Soul and Final Boss at the top of Pool A. The tie-breaker came down to the overall win-loss-ratio, and Impact just managed to edge out Final Boss for the top seed in the pool
