Reaction to Fragbite's post regarding dennis

By Alexander T. 'TheSlaSH' Müller-Rodic
Mar 30, 2011 18:12

ImageAfter reading an article at Fragbite SK Gaming felt it necessary to clear up the situation and shut down all rumors that might have spread around the internet by now.

On 17th February 2011 SK Gaming announced SE Dennis 'dennis' Edman as a stand-in for the IEM V World Championship in Hannover. The events leading up to this decision were long term known internally and partly discussed with eSports websites prior to this announcement.

Right after CeBIT it was decided to start negotiating a deal between SE SK Gaming and dennis to sign him as a full member of the Counter-Strike 1.6 team. This process is not finalized yet and once done fans will learn at SK-Gaming.com first hand.

Here is what dennis has to say to clarify the situation:

"There is no need to rush things right now. We agreed on taking this slow from both sides. I do know the guys at SK and the team believe in me. Right now our focus is 100% on the upcoming tournament in Copenhagen and once SK and I feel like we have an announcement to make, we will do so. I am committed to this team and I believe it is more important to prepare for Copenhagen than it is to comment rumors where there is nothing to comment about."

DE Alexander "TheSlaSH" T. Müller, SK Gaming Managing Director adds:

"The status of dennis and SK is quite simple: We are on a good way of signing a contract and once done and ready for an official statement, we will post it here and let the community know. Until then his "official" status is standin. Of course I saw the post Fragbite released and like most of the times I ask myself why wouldn't an editor ask for a statement from the organization. That is basic editorial work."

Fragbite posted a picture of a contract signed, as it seems, by SK Gaming and dennis. Neither SK nor dennis posted this picture. Which leads to the final words a rock star once said:

"I fake it till I make it!"
