PoweR Gaming in final of digifest

ImagePoweR Gaming have defeated Online Kingdom to move to the final of digifest and potentially reclaim their crown as the best Finnish team.

FI Power Gaming are a good position to win digifest after advancing to the final via the winners bracket. On their way there they defeated fellow Finns FI Online Kingdom fi 16:12 on nuke, in the winners' bracket final, and FI eXelon Gaming 16:4 on train.

digifest is held in Talinn, Estonia, and will finish today with the winner taking home €2,500 (~$3,534) for first place. HLTV.org is reporting that the organisers of the tournament have decided to run maxrounds 10 (MR10) in the lower bracket to save on time. This move seems both bizarre and highly unprofessional, causing lower bracket games to be played under a worse ruleset than even was seen during the first era of maxrounds: mr12.

PwR's victory over Online Kingdom may prove significant as many say OK as potentially the best Finnish team now due to their prowess online. Meanwhile PwR were coming off a disasterous ASUS Winter performance which saw them eliminated in the first group stage. This led to them deciding to take along former players naSu and ruuit to this event, giving them a lineup best known for its time as Roccat in 2008.
