ImageOrganisers of e-Stars Seoul have announced a prize pot of approximately $66,000 for their Counter-Strike competition.

The organisers behind e-Stars Seoul 2011 have revealed the Counter-Strike tournament will have approximately $66,000 in prize money. The increase in prize money is down to the announcement which was made earlier this month, which revealed e-Stars Seoul 2011 would not feature games published by American company Blizzard, therefore forcing Counter-Strike to become the main game and receive a prize pot increase.

In comparison to last years event, which was won by Frag eXecutors , there was approximately $42,000 in prize money for Counter-Strike and $20,000 for WarCraft 3.

This years e-Stars Seoul 2011 will take place in Seoul, Korea, during August 19-21. There will be eight Counter-Strike teams in attendance, none of which have yet to be announced.
