Europe's elite to attend Copenhagen Games

ImageMany of Europe's best players have signed up for the upcoming Copenhagen Games expo. 64 SC2 pro-gamers will clash in the heart of Denmark from 21st-23rd April.

Copenhagen Games, the biggest game expo in Denmark, will open its doors on April 21st, welcoming hundreds of the best eSports players in all the world. Within this count, 64 StarCraft 2 aces will arrive at Copenhagen to prove their worth.

Up until now, 42 players have signed up for the games in Denmark. Among some of the relatively unknown players, several notable gamers do stand out thus creating a list that can only spur major expectations. It includes players of huge notoriety like Dreamhack champion and runner-up "Naama" and "Mana", Liquid's "ret" and "TLO", the Infested Terran "Morrow", old-school legend "White-ra" and many more, including SK's Danish newcomer DK Johannes Sabroe 'Joe' Witt.

All players will receive a high-, medium- or low-seed status and will be divided into 16 groups of 4 with a minimum of one high and one medium seed in each. The top two in each group will advance to a 32-player single elimination bracket.

Apart from the international tournament, the prize for which will be €6,700 (about $9,400), there will be a second, Danish only open StarCraft 2 tournament, featuring 32 players in a single-elimination brackets.
